Robert Kraus is a founding and managing partner of Kraus & Zuchlewski LLP and a leader in the fields of executive advocacy, employment litigation and arbitration. He has been a trusted advisor to successful businessmen and women for more than 30 years, regularly counselling them in complex, high stakes employment and personal matters. How to most effectively enter, maintain and exit the different types of legal and contractual arrangements that surround the workplace is the focus of his practice, including employment and consulting agreements, partnership and operating agreements, non-compete and non-solicit agreements, and separation agreements, among others. He has represented a number of whistleblowers with great success. Mr. Kraus has obtained multiple seven figure damage awards and settlements on behalf of executives and professionals in a variety of industries, including financial services, sports and entertainment, retail, diversified industrial, real estate and a number of others.
Mr. Kraus regularly lectures before various bar association and trade groups on executive advocacy, employment law and related business issues, including whistleblower laws, non-compete and other restrictive covenants, employment contracts, executive pay, arbitration, arbitration rules and strategy, mediation, cross-border litigation, privacy, and discovery and damages. Mr. Kraus is active in several major bar associations, including the American Bar Association, where he is currently co-chair of the ADR committee in the Labor and Employment Law Section. Mr. Kraus earned his undergraduate degree with Honors from the University of Michigan, and received his law degree from Georgetown University School of Law.
